I've always had a huge love for live music events including gigs and festivals so to be able to test out my brand new camera as a cam op on some incredible artists as well as some at some fantastic venues was an absolute treat. I want to thank the teams at Future Sound and Blink Vivid Video for having me on board for for 2 very exciting projects getting me involved in some live performance capture at Get Together Festival as well as Live at Leeds in the Park as an official cam op for their highlight reels.
Get Together 2025
A fantastic experience and a relatively new festival: Get Together utilised some of the best venues in Sheffield as stretches down Kelham Island taking over iconic buildings such as Peddlers Market, Heist Brewing Co, Yellow Arch Studios. Each venue has it's own personality making it a great place to go as there's always something new to appreciate just down the road. Incredibly talented artists and equally great food and drink; it's amazing to see this area of Sheffield packed to the brim with vibrant energy. Some highlights were managing to see some amazing artists such as English Teacher, Swim Deep and The Family Battenberg. Live at Leeds in the Park 2025
Flashback to my early teens with Bloc Party, Manic Street Preachers and Natasha Beddingfield playing on my iPod as I walk my morning paper round it was surreal to be aiming my camera at them at this incredible event. So many bands that I have loved for longer than I can remember combined discovering some new favourites in the form of Gurriers, Borgeal and Chloe Slater it was quite an amazing experience filming high energy performance capturing the vibe of the festival and even getting close to the action right near the Sports Team mosh pits.

Back to the bones festival
So after working on some incredible festivals I looked around to find something a little smaller to practice what I'd learnt for creating as highlight reel on a more independent level. I found an amazing small one-day festival in Sheffield that takes over the Sharrow cemetery and showed up with my camera. I was very happy with the results as well as the fact that I got to discover some incredible and very underrated bands. You can watch the Back to the Bones video (shot and edited by yours truly) here.

This kind of work is a very long day but one where you capture so many memories! There's always so much to see around every corner that trains your eye to find some very good shots.
